Our phone staff is available 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Saturday during office hours. Please be prepared to give the phone staff the following information:
- your child’s name and age
- length of illness
If the problem requires a doctor or nurse practitioner’s attention, he or she will return your call at the earliest opportunity or our phone staff will call you back after the they review your chart and give guidance regarding your concern.
For non-emergent advice or information, call mid to late-morning or early to mid-afternoon. The phones are busiest early in the morning, late afternoon and on Mondays in general.
We also offer the ability for you to ask questions electronically. Non-urgent questions can be sent via ESD Patient Portal. Our goal is to respond to these emails within 24 hours.
Telephone calls after hours are for urgent problems only. The on call doctor can be reached through the automated service by calling our regular office number (either 513-248-1210 or 513-533-6100). After the office is closed, these numbers are forwarded to the automated service which will use caller ID, then allow you to confirm your number and leave a message that is forwarded to the provider on call immediately. If the concern is not an emergency, we request that it be taken care of during regular business hours. Our calls are not screened and therefore, all calls will be referred to the provider on call.
