Jeff A. Drasnin, MD, FAAP grew up in Cincinnati and graduated from Walnut Hills High School in 1989. He then moved on to Indiana University where he studied in the Honors College earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Upon graduation in 1993, Dr. Jeff began his studies at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine where he earned his MD in 1997. He continued his training as a pediatric resident at Cincinnati Children’s. Dr. Jeff was one of the first residents to complete Cincinnati Children’s Primary Care Track which emphasizes the skills necessary for success in primary care pediatrics.

As the son of one of ESD’s founding physicians, he has always been exposed to pediatric medicine. He began his medical journey in high school as a volunteer in the emergency department at Cincinnati Children’s where he spent countless hours immersing himself in what is now his life’s passion. In college, Dr. Jeff spent his summers doing research in Cincinnati Children’s Pediatric Surgery Lab under the direction of Dr. Moritz Ziegler and Dr. Victor Garcia. It was these formative years that solidified Dr. Jeff’s interest in trying to fill his father’s large shoes.

Dr. Jeff joined ESD Pediatric Group upon completing his residency in July 2000. He was lucky enough to practice alongside his father for several years before Dr. Ronald Drasnin’s retirement in 2006. Dr. Jeff has served on the Medical Executive Committee at Cincinnati Children’s and has also chaired its Communications Committee.

Dr. Jeff currently serves as managing partner and president of ESD Pediatric Group and is involved in all aspects of care and practice management.

Dr. Jeff is married to his wife Lori and has two sons, Matthew and Ryan. He resides in Symmes Township and in his spare time enjoys spending time with his family, watching sports, and is passionate about international travel.

Dr. Drasnin sees patients at both the Milford and Hyde Park offices. He is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
