Rick Berger, MD, FAAP

Dr. Berger is a lifelong resident of Cincinnati. He grew up in the gaslight neighborhood of Clifton. He attended St. Xavier High School graduating in 1988. Upon graduation, he moved to Bloomington, Indiana and earned his undergraduate degree at Indiana University in 1992. Dr. Berger then came back to Cincinnati to attend the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine from where he graduated with his MD in 1997. Although he is the son of a neurosurgeon, he chose to follow the career path of his uncle and become a pediatrician. Upon graduation from UC, he moved to Louisville to do his pediatric residency at Kosair Children’s (now Norton). He was chosen to serve as Chief Resident after he completed his residency and spent an additional year in Louisville before returning to the Greater Cincinnati area.

Dr. Berger practiced in Northern Kentucky for 17 years before crossing back over the river to join ESD Pediatric Group in 2018. Dr. Berger is a partner in the practice and is involved in the direction, quality of care and management of the practice.

Dr. Berger is married to his wife Amie and has three children. He enjoys spending time with his family, sporting events (basketball, soccer and tennis) and working on his farm.

Dr. Berger sees patients at both the Milford and Hyde Park locations. He is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
